Power Contracting Company proudly served as General Contractor for the SR 28 Wrong Way Driver Detection system, which is the first of its kind in the state of Pennsylvania. This critical transportation safety initiative is designed to improve roadway safety through advanced intelligent transportation technology that detects and alerts authorities and possible oncoming drivers via dynamic message board to wrong-way vehicle movements on various ramps along the SR 28 corridor. This project aims to reduce the risk of serious accidents and enhance driver safety throughout one of Pittsburgh’s busiest transportation corridors.
